About Me: I am a stay at home mother of three. In March of 2005, I completed the DONA birth doula training at the Seattle Midwifery School. I am also an accredited volunteer La Leche League Leader, providing breastfeeding information and support.
It is YOUR birth and I work for YOU. I can assist you in finding information and exploring your birth options. My goal is to help you to have the most satisfying birth experience you possibly can. I provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother and her partner during pregnancy, labor and childbirth. I use compassionate listening for the wishes and desires of each family. I can offer ideas on varying positions during labor to suit the mother’s changing needs. I am an extra set of helping hands to assist in any way possible. I offer quiet, caring mother to mother support to facillate the entry of your baby’s life into a safe, healthy, and loving environment.
Services: Call or email to schedule your free (no-obligation) consultation. I encourage you to interview several doulas to find the best fit for you and your family. If you decide to hire me, we will meet again to sign a contract; you will pay a non-refundable retainer fee ($150) - this holds your place on my calendar. At this visit, we will discuss your birth plan as well as plan how we will best work together towards a safe and healthy birth. You are also welcome to call me with questions. Depending on your needs, you may wish to schedule a second prenatal visit. Next, you will call me as soon as you think that you may be in labor. We will decide together when I should come to you, allow one to two hours for my childcare arrangements and travel. I will remain with you for the duration of your labor and one to two hours postpartum. We will meet one last time between one and three weeks after your birth. We will discuss your birth and any questions or concerns that you may have as the mother of a new baby. The remainder of my fee is due at this time.
